Perform a variety of duties associated with providing temperature-conditioned ammunition for developmental and operational testing, as well as for training events. Duties include operating environmental conditioning chambers to simulate temperature conditions required for testing. Must transport ammunition from ammunition plants or storage areas to conditioning chambers located adjacent to gun positions, located throughout YPG ranges. Must manually load ammunition of varying sizes into conditioning chambers and deliver rounds from the chamber to the gun position as required by the Test Officer and test. Duties also include performing operational checks of chamber operations to ensure environmental conditions meet the test requirement and maintaining accurate accountability of ammunition and ammunition expenditures. Must relocate conditioning chambers to various locations on the KFR and Cibola firing ranges and dispense liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) from mobile tankers to deployed conditioning chambers. Requires working day or night shift, as needed to support testing. Must work independently, as well as working as part of a crew or team providing test support. Perform other duties, as assigned.
Pay Rate: $17.73 - $18.97/hour

Must be a US citizen and not hold multiple citizenships.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
Must possess a valid Arizona Class A commercial driver’s license with a Hazmat endorsement and maintain CDL for the duration of employment in the section.
Must be able to obtain a Tanker endorsement within 45 days of hire.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Ammunition, Arms, and Explosives clearance.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed – sometimes on short notice – to support test missions.
Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.

Must be a current TRAX employee or an affiliate (SPIRAL, VETS, or WESTECH).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.
Must be capable of lifting 105 lbs. chest high unassisted repeatedly during the duty day.
Must be able to lift and transport 105 lbs. unassisted over uneven ground for 50 feet.
Must be able to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
Must be capable of frequent bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, standing, climbing, and stooping, sometimes for long periods.
Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must be able to ascend and descend equipment.
Must be tolerant of frequent weapons systems firings.
Must not have a color vision deficiency.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Experience operating environmental conditioning equipment of similar complexity.
Knowledge or background in ammunition related field.
Basic electrical or HVAC experience.
Experience with forklift operations.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Outlook and the internet.
